The Great Urantian Agreement.
A treaty by Be Be, 2012
(1020.7) 93:6.4 This covenant of Melchizedek with Abraham represents the great
Urantian agreement between divinity and humanity whereby God agrees to do everything;
man only agrees to believe God’s promises and follow his instructions.
Heretofore it had been believed that salvation could be secured only by works — sacrifices
and offerings; now, Melchizedek again brought to Urantia the good news that
salvation, favor with God, is to be had by faith. But this gospel of simple
faith in God
was too advanced; the Semitic tribesmen subsequently preferred to go back to
the older sacrifices and atonement for sin by the shedding of blood.
I promise to do my best to explore this agreement with you more fully and in
as simple a manner as possible, keeping explanations as plain and simple as
possible.
So, are we to understand that what everyone has been seeking all along was
for salvation, a salvation from being damned to separation from God and Paradise
because of the sins of the Father and Mother, Adam and Eve? The God I have
come
to know and love would never require someone to pay for someone else’s
sins. If that’s the case with your God then I would consider firing that
god as God and recommend upgrading to the One and only Father / Mother God
whom loves each of us as their very own child.
But isn’t salvation simply a method, whereby salving takes place, referring
to the practice of adding seasoning to a meal for instance or infusing spirit
into life and other events? To salve, means to add salt… to add taste;
to make pleasurable; to make memorable and by doing so adding to the humus of
the soil of humanity, the soul of humanity. Don’t we really want to mature
into the young children of God that we are?
There is indeed a method for coming into alignment with the entire universe
which, is constantly moving toward the ages of life and light, and as we come
into alignment
with the will of God the heavenly Father / Mother we experience life as it
is lived by each of us.
Let’s come into alignment with the most positive potential timeline available.
Let's become a creative child co-partner with the Creator. Our life could then
be considered the highest form of celebration and the ultimate in human evolution.
This treaty deals with a quote found above from page (1020.7) 93:6.4 of the
URANTIA book, which is considered to be the 5th epochal revelation to our planet.
This nugget of information (the agreement above) was re- discovered while I
was reading the URANTIA book for the 7th time. This was a time when my interest
peaked
for bringing to the surface the most usable information found within this wonderful
and immense book, which few have the patience to read, due to the complexity
and depth of the words, contents and concepts used.
Within the covers of this great book I discovered the Angels of Enlightenment,
Angels of Health, Angels of The Home, Angels of Industry, Angels of Diversion,
Angels of Superhuman Ministry. Urantia is now receiving the help of the third
corps of seraphim dedicated to the fostering of planetary education.
This planet
in fact is an Archangels Head Quarters and if you were to think about that
alone you would be kept in bliss forever.
The Angels of Enlightenment for example are occupied with mental and moral
training as it concerns individuals, families, groups, schools, communities,
nations,
and whole races and in fact everyone on planet earth, also called Urantia.
I believe the Angels of Marketing appeared to me, once upon a dream and asked
me to help repackage the URANTIA book because it was too big and most people
have such short attention spans that they lose interest in reading it.
So, I’ve discovered veins of gold in them thar’ hills and I plan
on helping repackage the information found within the Book, to make it appear
more user friendly.
I, therefore, start exploring this most precious of gems called the Great Urantian
Agreement between Divinity and Humanity.

That alone is
an incredible discovery, with some very interesting possibilities. What we
have is an incredible agreement whereby our main focus, our major duty in life
need
only be applied to how we believe and spend our time believing; to paying attention,
to how we tell the tale. To tell the story we listen to each day and how we
are telling our self, and others, the story we hear our self tell our self,
every
day. Whew that was a tongue twister!
That such an agreement existed. WOW! The idea blows me away.
And, what intrigues me the most now is that I want and need to pay attention
to my faculty of believing, through study, by observing this agreement in action.
I feel like I’ve discovered where Santa Clause lives and I plan on visiting
often.
So I decided to contemplate what it means to believe, and what the techniques
of actually believing are?
Belief I found is a mental process. To believe something means to understand
something with all the bells and whistles and rhymes and reasons of why that
particular something is. We spend the majority of our time justifying why something
is, in a certain way. We rehearse the reasons why we believe such and such
and
so and so.
And as we so believe, so it becomes more of. Be sure to hear me now, let those
of you reading that can… hear what I’m trying to say.
The whole concept of faith depends on our understanding one’s intimate
relationship with life itself; with the creator of that life. That which we
have faith in is that which we find ourselves involved in each day. We have
a belief
that things are going to get better somehow. We have faith that things are
going to sort themselves out.
Belief is faith. Belief in the story you are listening to right now whether
you are the narrator or the actor or actress, or the audience, this divine
observer,
you, are the one that makes sense of your life, or not, with the story you
tell.
The greatest story you will ever hear is the one you tell yourself. What you
believe in is also what you hope to achieve. What you believe in is the substance
oozing from life as you feel; for love, for life and for meanings between friends
and acquaintances. This in turn leads
to the nourishment
of our Soul, the spiritual fetus within us, which one day will give birth to
a beautiful being.
We can choose to be poetic in our belief or we can choose to be mundane or
all the shades of grey in between; and we have the (choice) option to enter
any particular
realm or sphere of existence or not.
To believe is a mechanism which represents a trigger we click with common day
attractions and aversions resulting in processes leading to proof required,
realizations and actual experiences of manifestations what we commonly call
a miracle.
Your story can be told as a poem or as prose. You are the script writer the
story teller, the reporter and publicist. You are the newsflash, the hottest
gossip
and the bell of the ball.
I re-read what I’ve written here to you and wonder if I’m either
off track, or in alignment with you as the reader. Do I make any sense? Are
you able to grasp what I’m speaking about?
Theorist Joseph Campbell so eloquently spoke of the hero’s journey as
the road taken by the one who follows their bliss. Wow! So how do I best follow
MY
bliss? And what does bliss have to do with believing?
Bliss or the joy of your life can be best perceived as being one consciousness
with the divine observer of your personal sovereignty in a feeling of Joy.
The story you tell yourself is the result of how you’ve been brought up
to believe all along. The skill of believing is to be developed through faith;
in modern terms, imagination. They didn’t have the word imagination back
then to express more fully the concept of “Faith.” Take the best
of your religious learning and then graduate to a more full understanding and
expression of that religion.
Your imagination will either set you free or put you in bondage. With it you
either see stars or bars. Your imagination will either describe to you why
things are turning up roses or going to hell in a hand basket. Your imagination
is the
tool you use to make sense of things with, or with the lack of use we then
become drifters with no hope for happiness, liberty or being able to taste
any “Fruits
of the Spirit.”
If you believe you can do great things. If you believe in God’s promises
then you will do even greater things. So this begs the question, what are God’s
promises.
Learn to love and serve one another for God promises you peace and prosperity
as a result.
Most of all recognize men as your brother. Recognize women as your sister.
Get to know each other in the present, as the gift we truly re-present; a gift
from
our Father / Mother God to each other. Let’s get over our hang-ups and
extend a hand in good will and service to each other resulting in peace and
prosperity in fellowship.
This was the good news of Jesus, spread across the land, which he
told the people, that we have a Father God whom loves us very much and that
because
of this we are all of us, brothers and sisters. This is the storyline we must
be concentrating on. This is the story we must believe in.
The one most powerful statement Jesus spoke to everyone who had the ears to
hear was about the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Men and Women.
And, if we would have just kept the message alive, if we could have stuck to
this main theme of instruction oh my how much different our world would look
today. This was a promise.
In fulfillment of God's promises we can learn to enjoy gratitude and recognize
the tasty resources we have available. We can learn to use them wisely. These
tasty
resources
would
be
like the roof
over your head, the meal in your belly, the love from your family or having
other things that afford you gratitude and gives life meaning, the time taken
for excersize and relaxation.
All of these aspects of believing need to be explored and mapped out for following
generations, following us as the pioneers for our children. Only when we
create more hubris of richly felt meanings about things or deeper ways of thought
or processes
of information, do we then create a future worthy of our worship and must withstand
our own personal criticism.
Mapping out Gods instructions is designed to prescribe just that. We are to
believe in Gods promises and follow his instructions.
We must learn to believe and more
specifically follow his instructions. How many times must I repeat this for
it to stick? To sink in? To sync in? To make sense.
These instructions may be written on our heart or inscribed on stone, written
in the realm of science or within the prescience of human anticipation concerning
the current course of human events. It is buried in our DNA.
Some instructions are subsumed by the autonomic nervous system.
Imagine trying to regulate that by your consious thought. Most of us would
be dead.
Following the instructions would be like following grandma’s recipe.
Following a formula or reading the work of a mathematician; by reading the
directions on the box. And then, enacting the procedures as described.
Following instructions is necessary whenever you wish to upgrade your software
or have something installed or replaced like getting a new appliance or computer.
Every time you get a new appliance you need to read the owner’s manual.
You have to learn how the device works. You get to learn how to manifest your
dreams. First, by deciding on what you would wish for, then, gazing upon it
for days on end. Then, finding yourself living that dream; appreciating that
dream came true.
And what is the payoff for not only believing but also following the instructions
you may ask? What’s in it for you? You will get to have your wishes granted.
You will get to have your dreams come true. You will get to live in heaven
on earth. You will get to be immortal. You will get to be in “The Family.”
Look
all around you. We live in the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus already told us that
the Kingdm of Heaven was at hand, wa within you. We are already there.
There’s
so much to appreciate; so many brothers and sisters that you have not yet met
and interacted with. And, we get to develop as many relationships with as many
or with as few as we so desire. And, we get to go on an ascension career with
many adventures eventually arriving upon the now distant shores of Paradise.
You have been instructed by God to “become ye perfect even as I am…” So,
in your personal sphere of existence, strive to become perfect. Enjoy the process
of becoming perfect. Enjoy each day beliving you are becoming perfect. In other
words, enjoy believing.
In ancient times we were told to, “Go forth and multiply.” This garden
I give to you is vast in resources… available to you to enjoy. Enjoy the
feasts I have prepared for you. Enjoy the company of each other, with your brothers
and sisters, your loved ones and enjoy what you can so richly share between each
of you.
We will continue with promises in a moment, lets zero in on some sample instructions
now, i.e., two solid objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time,
what goes up must come down, love one another, be ye perfect even as I am,
what you see is what you get, go forth and multiply, control your tongue, to
think is to create, take the talents you were born with and polish them into
skills, get paid in direct proportion to the services you render others, to
those who would be first, learn to be last, your fellow human is not just your
brother, he is you, what you see being so within you is directly, or indirectly,
reflected in the outer realm called reality, the child of a cat must grow up
to be a cat, the child of a dog must grow up to be a dog, the child of God
must grow up to be God, we have a lot of growing up to do. Becoming God is
our highest form of evolution and celebration.
And if you don’t like something, change it by following a different set
of instructions. Something may seem to be a certain way, but how else is it?
The inferior must give way to the superior and life begets life, as within
so without, according to your faith be it done unto you, darkness cannot exist
in the presence of light, go forward on purpose and whatever you need will
be there when you get there, don’t let fear stand in the way of a dream
coming true, you are never given a lock without the key to open it, no problem
exists without corresponding solutions.
Listen to your heart while you listen to what’s in your head. If you
don’t like the way you feel it’s your responsibility to change
it. It is a personal faith in the exceedingly great and precious promises that
God ensures us becoming partakers of the divine nature. Look to the spirit
of truth guiding you toward the presence of God within you.
This is akin to making wishes to
the Genie and hearing him say, “Your wish is my command!”
To promise means to pledge, to agree to, to give ones word, to assure or give
assurance, to troth, to vow, to profess, to attest to, to create obligation,
to agree, to contract or give word of honor. It also means to propose, to submit
or put forth, to present an idea, to make a motion, to recommend, offering
a resolution, to bring forth or maintain, to make a suggestion, to state something,
avert something, or declare something, to postulate something, or set forth
something.
To make a proposal is to make a promise. I promise to walk every step of the
way with you if you’ll just keep walking, I would never expect you to
do something I haven’t already done, I promise eternal life to all who
would seek it, seek and the way will be revealed, to finding that which you
seek, knock and the door will be opened, believe God is your Father for you
are by all means his child, seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and all else
will be added unto you. Let those whom have ears to hear, listen.
The following are excerpts which serve to point out specific references to
places in the Urantia book whereupon are found examples of how this information
of the great Urantian agreement is to be put into context.
Said Jesus to his apostles, (1808.1) 163:6.7 “You have entered upon this
great work of teaching mortal man that he is a son of God. I have shown you
the way; go forth to do your duty and be not weary in well doing. To you and
to all who shall follow in your steps down through the ages, let me say: I
always stand near, and my invitation-call is, and ever shall be, Come to me
all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke
upon you and learn of me, for I am true and loyal, and you shall find spiritual
rest for your souls.”
(1808.2) 163:6.8 And they found the Master’s words to be true when they
put his promises to the test. And since that day countless thousands also have
tested and proved the surety of these same promises.
(1838.2) 167:5.1 On the way to Judea Jesus was followed by a company of almost
fifty of his friends and enemies. At their noon lunchtime, on Wednesday, he
talked to his apostles and this group of followers on the “Terms of Salvation,” and
at the end of this lesson told the parable of the Pharisee and the publican
(a tax collector). Said Jesus: “You see, then, that the Father gives
salvation to the children of men, and this salvation is a free gift to all
who have the faith to receive sonship in the divine family. There is nothing
man can do to earn this salvation.”
(1641.5) 146:3.3 On the second evening at Ramah, Thomas asked Jesus this question: “Master,
how can a new believer in your teaching really know, really be certain, about
the truth of this gospel of the kingdom?”
(1641.6) 146:3.4 And Jesus said to Thomas: “Your assurance that you have
entered into the kingdom family of the Father, and that you will eternally
survive with the children of the kingdom, is wholly a matter of personal experience — faith
in the word of truth. Spiritual assurance is the equivalent of your personal
religious experience in the eternal realities of divine truth and is otherwise
equal to your intelligent understanding of truth realities plus your spiritual
faith and minus your honest doubts”.
(1642.1) 146:3.5 “The Son is naturally endowed with the life of the Father.
Having been endowed with the living spirit of the Father, you are therefore
sons of God. You survive your life in the material world of the flesh because
you are identified with the Father’s living spirit, the gift of eternal
life. Many, indeed, had this life before I came forth from the Father, and
many more have received this spirit because they believed my word; but I declare
that, when I return to the Father, he will send his spirit into the hearts
of all men.” This happened at Pentecost on May, 18th in the year 30 CE.
(1642.2) 146:3.6 “While you cannot observe the divine spirit at work
in your minds, there is a practical method of discovering the degree to which
you have yielded the control of your soul powers to the teaching and guidance
of this indwelling spirit of the heavenly Father, and that is the degree of
your love for your fellow men. This spirit of the Father partakes of the love
of the Father, and as it dominates man, it unfailingly leads in the directions
of divine worship and loving regard for one’s fellows. At first you believe
that you are sons of God because my teaching has made you more conscious of
the inner leadings of our Father’s indwelling presence; but presently
the Spirit of Truth shall be poured out upon all flesh, and it will live among
men and teach all men, even as I now live among you and speak to you the words
of truth. And this Spirit of Truth, speaking for the spiritual endowments of
your souls, will help you to know that you are the sons of God. It will unfailingly
bear witness with the Father’s indwelling presence, your spirit, then
dwelling in all men as it now dwells in some, telling you that you are in reality
the sons of God.
(1642.3) 146:3.7 “Every earth child who follows the leading of this spirit
shall eventually know the will of God, and he who surrenders to the will of
my Father shall abide forever. The way from the earth life to the eternal estate
has not been made plain to you, but there is a way, there always has been,
and I have come to make that way new and living. He who enters the kingdom
has eternal life already — he shall never perish. But much of this you
will the better understand when I shall have returned to the Father and you
are able to view your present experiences in retrospect.”
(1642.4) 146:3.8 And all who heard these blessed words were greatly cheered.
The Jewish teachings had been confused and uncertain regarding the survival
of the righteous, and it was refreshing and inspiring for Jesus’ followers
to hear these very definite and positive words of assurance about the eternal
survival of all true believers.”
These words of assurance are an example of Gods promises to us. And when we
not only believe these promises we can then listen for instructions to be revealed
by the Spirit of Truth as we live our daily life. In our comings and goings
we can be listening for Gods instructions on how, why and when we can love
our fellow man.
(290.2) 26:4.12 The pilgrim (of time and space) lands on the receiving planet
of Havona, the pilot world of the seventh circuit, with only one endowment
of perfection, perfection of purpose. The Universal Father has decreed: “Be
you perfect, even as I am perfect.” That is the astounding invitation-command
broadcast to the finite children of the worlds of space. The promulgation of
that injunction has set all creation astir in the co-operative effort of the
celestial beings to assist in bringing about the fulfillment and realization
of that tremendous command of the First Great Source and Center.
My personal purpose is to be perfect. Even in my imperfection I am perfectly
imperfect. I am therefore very happy and filled with bliss because I am doing
all I can
to fulfill my Fathers request.
(290.3) 26:4.13 When, through and by the ministry of all the helper hosts of
the universal scheme of survival, you are finally deposited on the receiving
world of Havona, you arrive with only one sort of perfection — perfection
of purpose. Your purpose has been thoroughly proved; your faith has been tested.
You are known to be disappointment proof. Not even the failure to discern the
Universal Father can shake the faith or seriously disturb the trust of an ascendant
mortal who has passed through the experience that all must traverse in order
to attain the perfect spheres of Havona. By the time you reach Havona, your
sincerity has become sublime. Perfection of purpose and divinity of desire,
with steadfastness of faith, have secured your entrance to the settled abodes
of eternity; your deliverance from the uncertainties of time is full and complete;
and now must you come face to face with the problems of Havona and the immensities
of Paradise, to meet which you have so long been in training in the experiential
epochs of time on the world schools of space.
(290.4) 26:4.14 Faith has won for the ascendant pilgrim a perfection of purpose
which admits the children of time to the portals of eternity. Now must the
pilgrim helpers begin the work of developing that perfection of understanding
and that technique of comprehension which are so indispensable to Paradise
perfection of personality.
(290.5) 26:4.15 Ability to comprehend is the mortal passport to Paradise. Willingness
to believe is the key to Havona. The acceptance of sonship, co-operation with
the indwelling Adjuster, is the price of evolutionary survival.
(297.1) 26:11.4 Mortals have received the Paradise command: “Be you perfect,
even as your Paradise Father is perfect.” To these trinitized sons of
the conjoint corps the supervising supernaphim never cease to proclaim: “Be
you understanding of your ascendant brethren, even as the Paradise Creator
Sons know and love them.”
I promise if you will take care of each other I will be there in your midst.
I promise that if you have faith in something, that something will have faith
in you.
I promise that for every Good deed you perform, thousands will be the resultant
ripples across the universe.
I promise that if you know me in your heart I will not abandon you.
I promise you that love is the holiest of spirits and every breath you take
is mine.
I promise to accompany you on your journey as you so let me.
I promise you that you are indeed each other in spirit and that whatsoever
you do to the least of your brother or sister you are doing unto me.
I promise that whatsoever you say shall be, shall be.
I promise that if you learn to use my gift of free-will constructively, truth,
beauty and goodness shall be yours now and forever.
I promise that heaven is a state of mind not a place; for all is Paradise
and you are welcome to live here.
I promise to be more that just God to you, to be your friend.
I promise to answer all your questions.
I promise to take care of everything, you simply promise to believe in my
promises and follow the instructions therein.
I promise you that hope will harvest certainty.
I promise to set the spiritually captive free, bind up the broken hearted
and bring glad tidings and good news to the meek.
I promise to help you find that, which you lost.
I promise to restore your belief in me and then bless you beyond belief.
I promise that when you pray for others and wish well to those around you
that others will be praying for your well-being too.
These and many more promises I make and will make with you ever more.
The aforementioned are suggested to be used as a guideline.
In conclusion, as we come to an end, I wish to synthesize everything I’ve
just said into an executive summary; learn to believe in Gods promises and
follow his instructions and he will take care of everything else.
He will make sure the engines of life stay turned on. He will make sure the
Sun will continue to be the center of our solar system, Solania, and he will
continue to be the source of and host our world’s resources.
God will take care of every breath we take and every beat of our heart. God
will make sure all your organs will continue to operate as they were designed
to. God will be with us as we perfect our world. God will take care of everything.
Isn’t that nice to know?
